The New District 5
The City of Detroit has now posted the new official District maps.

Dear Commissioner Burton,
I saw you on Fox 2 tonight and I truly sympathize with the good police officers who have been killed or injured in the line of duty.
I am a 60 year old white female living in Eastpointe and I am truly terrified of the police anymore. Unarmed people from all walks of life, black, white, male, female, are being gunned down all over this country by out of control cops.
Maybe instead of repeatedly blaming things like what happened to Officer Doss on mental illness, perhaps the blame could be on the fact that people are afraid of cops, especially black men, and they react to protect their own lives.
Thank God for people like you who understand the Constitution the Fourth amendment the right to privacy keep up the good work from a white rural American in Oklahoma
